CACHINA was designed by Swede Rolf Jacobsson as a fast long-range cruiser as he wanted to design a boat that could beat the Finnish Swan’s in the Swedish Gotland Off shore races, and now the RJ140 still do so more than 45 years later! Her designer has been strongly influenced by Sparkman & Stephens and the boat has obvious similarities with older Nautor’s Swan models.
She does turn heads wherever she goes. The experienced owner fell in love with her and started a refit that took more than 7 years to be completed to perfection.
CACHINA was created in a fascinating moment in time in yacht design that may never have been better. Unique and timeless, she is a pleasant, contemporary classic sailing yacht. She has been totally overhauled and nothing has been saved to bring her to a “as new” condition. The process started in 2006 and the “new” boat was launched in 2013. Cachina is a beauty! This pleasant, contemporary long-range classic sailing yacht is easily sailed by two people . She offers speedy passage times and has delightful sailing manners.
She underwent a major refit from 2006 to 2013 and was always very well maintained ever since.
Cachina’s interior is spacious with a good height and a lot of light. Carefully restored in every detail. She is well ventilated for cruising in the globe’s colder and warmer climates.
Doubled owners berth aft, single pilot berth in the saloon, plus 2 singles in front. One toilet in separate cabin with direct overboard charge or grey tank. All interior woodwork in English oak. Forward head with storage. Main salon with starboard settee, port U-shaped seating.
Steps up to port galley, starboard navigation station and starboard quarterberth. Brass gimbaled kerosene cabin lamps. Consealed LED lights. AM/FM Radio and TV/DVD player in Bose stereo.
